Less time to get a Dominican driver’s license

The director of the National Transit and Transport Institute (Intrant), engineer Claudia Franchesca de los Santos announced that in compliance with Transit and Transport Law 63-17, starting 4 August 2017 applicants need only wait 15 days after taking the written test and receiving a restricted driver’s permit to apply for the driver’s test. In the case of those under 18 years, a 45-day window will apply after taking the written test. Nevertheless, the restricted driver’s permit will be valid for six months.
