The Police reported the dismantling of a forgery center that operated near the Haitian Consulate in Santo Domingo. The Police reported that passports, birth certificates and marriage certificates were forged there.
The arrests were made as the suspects worked inside two parked vehicles at the intersection of Calle José Desiderio Valverde and Calle Juan Sánchez Ramírez in the Zona Universitaria. Haitian Paul Romel was arrested in one of two vehicles where the documents were forged. The Police reported they are on the trail of Haitians Wilson Escaly and/or Tomasito and a known Chuchuta who are suspected of working with Romel.
