The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced that civil registries in the Dominican Republic will now all have the same business hours. JCE offices will be open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. In the past, some JCE offices remained open until 5pm.
The measure does not affect the offices that operate at public hospitals. These JCE offices will remain open in extended working hours and on Saturdays and Sundays in order to register births at affiliated hospitals.
