The Dominican Republic, the Caribbean champions, representing the region in the 2017 Little League World Series, failed to defeat Venezuela to move on in the tournament that is taking place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA from 17-27 August 2017. The DR lost 3-2 to the Venezuelan team that represents Latin America in the championship.
16 teams from around the world are participating, including eight from the United States, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Canada in the Americas.
