Megamerengue World Tours will be held 6 October 2017, coinciding with the Discovery Puerto Plata trade show and booking event. Discovery Puerto Plata is taking place 4-6 October 2017, at the Blue JackTar in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata. The stars of the night of merengue are: Johnny Ventura, Wilfrido Vargas, Kinito Mendez, Fefita La Grande and Kiko el Presidente. The show will take place at the Puerto Plata Amphitheater, adjacent to the San Felipe Fortress, off the Malecón. The event is organized by the Puerto Plata Tourism Cluster with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism.
This is an evening to enjoy legendary tracks by Johnny Ventura: “Patacón pisao”, “Capullo y Sorullo”, “Merenguero hasta la tambora”, “Las indias de Baní”, “Bobiné”, “A cuál piso”, “Filete”, “El cuabero” and “Yo soy el merengue”.
And by Wilfrido: “El africano”, “Las avispas”, “Volveré”, “El baile del perrito”, “Abusadora”, “El loco y la luna”, “El hombre divertido”, “El baile del mono”, “Wilfrido dame un consejo”, “El funcionario”, “Lo ajeno se deja quieto”, “Comején” and “A mover la colita”.
During Discovery Puerto Plata shows off the best of the north coast tourism destination and attracts airlines, tour operators, vendors, among others.
