DR signs Paris Agreement on Climate Change

The Dominican government has signed on to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change 21 September 2017. As of 21 September, the Paris Agreement has reached 166 parties. Some 31 more ratifications are needed for the Paris Agreement to have the same number of parties as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which, with 197 parties, is nearly universal. Since mid-February, 34 countries, including the Dominican Republic, have joined the treaty.
