AmCham signs agreement with competitiveness agency
The National Competitiveness Council and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmChamDR) announced an inter-institutional agreement to establish the bases for the preparing of national innovation policies. The agreement will include initiatives, projects, activities and action plans for institutional changes to enable the country to be more competitive.

Executive director Rafael Paz signed for Competitividad and David Fernandez for AmCham.

The Dominican Republic dropped 12 places in the recently announced World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Index. Most of the problems identified by the study result from deficiencies in government institutions.
