The Alina Abreu Ballet School presents “La Bayadera” at the Carlos Piantini main hall at the National Theater from 13-15 October 2017. More than 100 dancers will be on stage for the performance of the ballet by Sergei Kuschelok and Marius Petipa inspired on two dramas of Indian poet Kalidasa.
Lead roles are by Alexander Duval (Solor), Allison García as Gamzatti, Lisandra Toro as Nikiya and Camila Hernandez as Tara. Scenography is by Fidel Lopez, lighting by Enmanuel Ferry and Bienvenido Miranda. Music is by Ludwig Minkus. The ballet was first presented in 1877 at the Bolshói Kámenny Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia.
