
The Aldiana Club Cabarete, an all-inclusive resort, is preparing for a 1 May 2018 opening. The all-inclusive resort is located on the north shore of the Dominican Republic between the beaches of Sosua and Cabarete Beach in Puerto Plata, just a 20-minute drive from the Puerto Plata International Airport (POP).
The family-oriented hotel is going up on the grounds of the former Sol de Plata resort, owned by the Abinader family. As reported, Aldiana has bought 50% share in the operation.
The Aldiana Club Cabarete will have 320 rooms, says general manager Taner Mandenlioglu, when announcing advances on the renovations at the hotel during Discover Puerto Plata event. The hotel will be an all-inclusive.
Features of the hotel are restaurants, pools, bars, Well Diana Spa, meeting rooms, sports courts and an amphitheater.
The hotel is best promoting itself as a good choice for sports lovers with a large soccer field, tennis facilities, gym and other land facilities on the site. The club will be offering extras for those who enjoy learning how to surf, kiteboard, dive, or stand-up paddle, water ski and more. Instruction is provided in many sports. The hotel itself features a 300-meter long beach.
The Aldiana Club will also encourage tourists to visit the nearby attractions of Laguna Gri-Gri, Damajagua waterfalls, Montellano Monkey Jungle, Yasika Adventure Park, Ocean World Cofresì, and book catamaran trips or rafting in Jarabacoa and many other sights and attractions for the active traveler and adventurers.
Aldiana is a German hotel chain that has its own tour operator. It already has operations in Spain (Andalusia, Fuerteventura), Tunisia (Djerba), Cyprus, Greece (Crete), and Austria with two more new facilities under construction in Germany (Wittenberg) and Italy (Calabria).
