Women from the Americas are coming for the celebration in Santo Domingo the 5th International Encounter of Women for Culture “On the Butterflies’ Route”. The Ministry of Culture is sponsoring the 5th International Encounter of Women for Culture.
The event will be held from 22 to 25 November 2017. Women from Chile, México, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Perú, Uruguay, Brazil and Haiti are coming to present their visions and experiences offering a blend of cultural perspectives.
The meetings seek to recognize the role of women in cultural development and their transversal incorporation of gender in the cultural public policy agendas. The meeting will create spaces for analysis and debate, exchange of experiences and knowledge, collective and individual socio-cultural processes, and governmental dialogue from diverse perspectives to empower Latin American women to seek equal opportunities and the exercise of their rights.
