Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas announced that talks between the Maduro administration and Venezuelan opposition will resume on Friday, 1 and Saturday, 2 December 2017, in Santo Domingo. The talks seek to restore a climate of governance in Venezuela that has been affected by serious political, social and economic problems.
On Monday, 27 November 2017, Foreign Minister Vargas said that the six main points on the agenda for the talks have been agreed upon by the government and opposition leaders.
