On Wednesday, 29 November 2017, President Danilo Medina, through Decree 243-17, authorized the implementation of the National Budget 2018 Bill for the next fiscal year. This is the earliest the budget has ever been passed by the government. The budget for next year is for RD$816,565,340,417 and calls for revenues for RD$602.8 billion and spending for RD$816.5 billion.
