The government power distributor company, EdeEste is dismantling medium and low tension electricity cabling in the Colonial City to replace these with underground cabling. This is part of the Colonial City renovation program, Programa de Fomento al Turismo de la Ciudad Colonial.
The works are taking place at Arzobispo Meriño street, between José Gabriel García and Padre Billini streets. They will continue on the Colonial City streets – Mercedes, Restauración and Isabel la Católica. They are expected to finish by 15 December 2017.
