The Parque del Este in eastern Santo Domingo is all lit up with a spectacle of lights and colors, “Vive la Navidad”. Mayor Alfredo Martinez has continued the tradition begun by former National District Mayor Roberto Salcedo. The Parque del Este, where the Panamerican Sports Games were held in 2003, has been lit up. The park is open for visitation from 6pm to midnight.
