The Second Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo convicted former San Francisco de Macoris mayor, Felix Manuel Rodriguez Grullon and the payroll officer of his city government, Jerson Neris lLizardo for embezzlement to the state for more than RD$400 million. He was sentenced to five years in jail at the Centro de Correccion y Rehabilitacion Vista del Valle and to pay a fine of RD$5 million.
