Major League Baseball legendary pitcher Yorkis Perez, Francisco Cabrera and Pedro Liriano are participating in free clinics for Dominican youths from Thursday, 21 December through Saturday, 23 December. The three players combine for 16 seasons and 549 games in Major League Baseball.
The event is sponsored by The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) that was founded in 1982 with the mission of promoting baseball, raising money for charity and protecting the dignity of the game through its alumni players.
The clinics will take place in various locations around the Dominican Republic at multiple venues. Clinicians will train at different instructional stations for approximately 200 local youth ages 6 – 16. The clinics will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.
