A Twitter post addressed to President Danilo Medina and sent by ruling PLD senator Sonia Mateo (PLD-Dajabón) made the rounds of social media for series of misspellings rather than its content, as reported in El Nuevo Diario. Some of the misspellings could be attributed to mere typos, but other errors may call into questioning the author’s grammatical skills. Among the errors are:
“policia Nacional” [without capital P], ¨los guardia¨ [should be the plural “guardias”], “avia” (should be spelled “había”], “dia de los Reyes magos” [should be Día de los Reyes Magos”], “las Fuerzas almada” (should be spelled las Fuerzas Armadas], among others.
The complete tweet sent by Mateo was: “Felicidades pte. Medina, nunca la Rep. Dom. Avia estado exportando tanto producto como ahora”, expresó la senadora en uno de sus mensajes publicado en Twitter.
