The executive vice president of the Dominican Public Electricity Corporation (CDEEE), Ruben Jiménez Bichara announced that the impasse over the US$708 million demanded by Odebrecht to complete the Punta Catalina coal-fired power generation terminal in Peravia would be heard in a New York City arbitration court. Jiménez said this would not interrupt the construction of the power plant. He said the plant is scheduled to enter into operation in 2018.
