The government collected RD$9.47 billion in taxes after the approval of the second part of the sale of E. León Jimenes Corporation to the Brazilian multinational company, Ambev. The local owners now retain 15% of the company that is responsible for Presidente beer and Marlboro cigarettes, among other products.
