In what would be his last public appearance as director of the Center for Exports and Investments (CEI-RD), Luis Henry Molina was interviewed by Hoy newspaper on the creation of ProDominicana as a platform for the promotion of exports and attraction of direct foreign investment. The CEI-RD was the leader of the creation of the new public-private entity. The intention is to back producers and investors with a catalogue of new services including market intelligence, advisory services to take advantage of tax incentives, export workshops and promotion of productive linkages, among others.
The entity was created by Decree 275-17. It calls for public entities, associations and business guilds linked to exports and investments to collaborate with the CEI-RD to achieve the set objectives. It is also a platform for the implementation of the National Promotion Strategy for Exports and Attraction of Investments.
