Former public school director accused of RD$30 million fraud

National District prosecutors have accused the former director of the Liceo Estados Unidos in the National District of around RD$30 million in fraud against more than 100 persons in the National District. She is the wife of a Christian minister and also posed as a pastor who had much influence in the government and offered facilities for the purchase of homes and vehicles through a Ministry of Education program. As reported, she solicited down payments for vehicles and real estate but never delivered these as promised.

As reported, Adalgisa Reyes Mora, known by her victims as “the czar of fraud” carried out the actions when she was the director of the public high school. She is serving pre-trial custody in the Women’s Jail in Najayo, San Cristóbal.
