The owner of Café Santo Domingo (Industrias Banilejas – Induban), 83-year old Rafael Perelló died on Saturday, 18 March 2018. In 2016 he had been recognized as manufacturer of the year by the Dominican Republic Association of Industries (AIRD). Induban is the leading manufacturer of coffee in the Dominican Republic. Induban was founded by his father in 1945.
He is being mourned at Funeraria Blandino and will be buried at the Máximo Gómez Cemetery in Santo Domingo on Monday, 19 March 2018.
