On Sunday, 15 April 2018, President Danilo Medina visited the La Emboscada neighborhood, in Cienfuegos, in Santiago de los Caballeros, where he met with the Pig Farmers Association PRIN 4 that has 117 members. The purpose of the visit was to discuss government support for building and equipping a modern and environmentally safe barn for breeding pigs. Medina said government support would enable the completion of the barn in six months.
