The United States’ Coastguard, located in Puerto Rico has announced that on Sunday 29 April 2018, they repatriated 12 illegal Dominicans, 10 men, one woman and a minor, who were arrested in the Mona Channel on Friday, 27 April. They were found traveling in a wooden boat some 51 nautical miles north west of Desecheo Island during a routine patrol by the US Coastguard.
The US Coastguard boat “The Joseph Napier” and a helicopter were sent to intercept the boat. Coastguard personnel gave the illegal aliens food and water and basic medical attention.
