Quorum again not met on Political Parties Bill

The Special Commission established to study the proposed Political Parties Bill set to go before the floor of the Chamber of Deputies suspended their first meeting yesterday, Tuesday, 15 May 2018, when the 50%+1 quorum was not reached. Those attending were Hamlet Amado Melo, Fátima Pujols and Henry Merán, for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD); Alfredo Pacheco and Víctor D’ Aza, for the Revolutionary Modern Party (PRM) and Fidel Santana, for the Popular Front.

Those who did not attend were the deputies from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and supporters of Danilo Medina, Gustavo Sánchez, Miriam Cabral, Radhamés Camacho, Plutarco Pérez and Dilepcio Núñez. Others that did not attend were Radhamés González, of the PRD and Máximo Castro, of the Social Christina Reform Party (PRSC).
