In addition to its daily flight from Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo to Mexico City, Aeromexico says it will be flying to Punta Cana as of 2 November 2018. This is a seasonal flight.
Punta Cana is attractive for Mexicans seeking luxury resorts for reasonable prices. The airline highlights that Punta Cana on the east coast of the Dominican Republic “is the perfect destination for travelers who want to enjoy the unique beaches, white sand, and turquoise waters that make this place a paradise.”
Likewise, the airline reports that the Dominican Republic has become Mexico’s leading investment destination in the Caribbean, and in 2017, the two nations created the Mexico- Dominican Republic Binational Business and Services Chamber (Cámara Binacional de Negocios y Servicios México-República Dominicana, A.C., CABIMEX-RD) to promote trade and investments between both countries.
