Puerto Plata is preparing to host the 150-km mountain bike adventure, the Pop Epic Race. The competitors and their teams will defy the challenges of a route set out full of obstacles presented by rivers, hiking trails, and climbs.
The two-day race will be run both against the clock and rally modality. The event is scheduled for Saturday, 30 June 2018, covering a distance of 34.65 km and climbing to 565 meters high. The second phase is set for the next day, Sunday, 1 July with a distance of 115.70 km, reaching a height of 2,777.
The base camp is being set up at the installations of New York Ranch located near the second entrance to Playa Dorada hotel complex.
