
The Dominican Seismology Institute reported an earthquake with 5.2 intensity at 8:14pm on Wednesday, 20 June 2018. As reported, the earthquake was intensely felt in the province of Monte Plata, where reports are that store goods fell to the floor. The Dominican earthquake experts say this is the second earthquake felt in Monte Plata in less than a month. The first was on 3 June at 5:03am with an intensity of 4.9.
USGS had reported the earthquake at 4.5 magnitude, 8 km southwest of Sabana de Boya, in the northern part of Monte Plata province.
