The executive director of the National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE), Luisa Fernández, and new Agriculture Minister Osmar Benítez sat down for serious talks last week. The two want to plan for joint actions to contribute to the strengthening and competitiveness of export free zones nationwide.
Also on the agenda was talk about the expediting of issuing of phytosanitary and zoosanitary certificates for the import of raw materials and inputs used by some free zones.
Fernandez says that the conversations will help to deal with inconveniences some free zones have been experiencing.
