The 2018 Senior Women’s Norceca Panamerican Volleyball Cup organized by NORCECA is bringing teams from all over the Americas (North-, South-and Central America, and the Caribbean) to Santo Domingo. The event grants five tickets to the Pan Am Games in Peru in 2019. It will take place 8-14 July 2018 at the Ricardo Arias Volleyball Pavilion in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo.
Participating teams are Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, and USA.
In a preparatory match, the Dominican team defeated the Cuban senior team 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-20) in a friendship match in Santiago de los Caballeros at the Arena del Cibao.
President Danilo Medina was named Patron of the Women’s Pan American Cup by Viva and will attend the opening ceremony on Sunday, 8 July at the Ricardo Arias Pavilion in Santo Domingo.
