CNN Travel has named Playa Rincon in northeastern Samaná one of the best beaches in the world. The beach was chosen as part of the project for staff to spend the next 12 months enjoying a different stretch of the world’s best shorelines.
Playa Rincón is located west of Las Galeras, the town where the road north up from Samaná ends. It is yet to be developed. In the meantime, two outdoor fresh fish restaurants serve catch of the day. There is even a non-salted water stream that can be followed inland.
