Car speed racing fans can head to the Sunix Autodrome on Las Americas Expressway this coming Sunday, 22 July 2018 to watch the best racers in the Dominican Republic and regional competitors. George Herrera, president of Caremax Group that imports Yokohama tires and is sponsoring the tournament, says the event is one of the main and most prestigious motorsport races in the Americas. The Gran Premio Yokohama is the third competition in the annual National Car Racing Championship.
Competitors are expected from Haiti, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic with competitions in five categories: Dominican Touring Series (DTS), Racing Sedan (RS), Street Touring (ST), National Tourism and Autohaus Kia Cup.
Admission tickets are RD$300 and paddocks RD$1,000, VIP RD$1,500.
