Maluma concert set for 15 August in Santo Domingo

Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter, Maluma will be performing his F.A.M.E. concert on Wednesday, 15 August 2018 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Santo Domingo. Thursday, 16 August 2018 is a holiday in the Dominican Republic celebrating Restoration Day, or the day independence was reinstated from Spain. During the performance, Maluma will be mainly promoting tracks from his third album that was released on 18 May 2018.

With the FAME album Maluma notched his second consecutive No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart of Billboard in June 2018 for a Latin album by a solo act. It earned for the Colombian the biggest week of the year for a Latin album by a solo artist in both units and traditional album sales, and the second-biggest week of 2018 overall.

Concert promoter Gamal Haché said that the concert has sold out in its previous 22 performances. Tickets are for sale online at Uepa Tickets and at Supermercados Nacional and Jumbo ticket offices.

Maluma also recorded the Spanish version of “Colors,” one of the theme songs of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, with Jason Derulo, who did the English version.
