The Emergency Operations Center (COE) has issued a green alert for six provinces in the country due to a weather front that is expected to produce moderate to strong rainfall and electrical storms especially in the afternoon and evening. Those provinces under alert are San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel and Sánchez Ramírez in addition to Greater Santo Domingo.
