President Danilo Medina was present for the inauguration of the high tech Health and Engineering Science Building at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) campus in Santo Domingo. The PUCMM is the largest private university in the country. The smart building was designed to serve the university community and courses will be taught in medicine, nursing, nutrition, physical therapy, stomatology, telematics engineering, computer sciences, mechatronics, industrial and systems engineering.
The building inauguration ceremony was led by Father Alfredo de la Cruz Baldera, rector of the PUCMM, who stressed this new learning facility could be a focal point of national transformation.
