
The Customs Agency detected a contraband of seven million cigarettes as part of a shipment that arrived at the Caucedo Multimodal Port in a container that supposedly contained washing machines.
The cigarettes were found following information exchange with other customs agencies and arrived on a ship from Panama. They were located behind the washing machines and were of the Gold City brand.
In a second case, two crossbows were found in the port at Haina, having been hidden and sent from Florida in the United States to one Joel Peralta in Bonao.
