The Center of Emergency Operations (COE) ordered a green alert for 12 provinces because of the forecast made by the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) for heavy rains over the next 48 hours the result of a tropical wave and a low pressure trough. The heavy rains are going to be felt over the entire country including the central mountains and the frontier. The provinces that are now under a green alert our Hato Mayor, Monsignor Nouel, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Espaillat, Sánchez Ramirez, El Seibo, Santo Domingo, La Vega, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macoris, Duarte and Hermanas Mirabal.
