Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez insists on the transparency of the process to choose new prosecutors. TV investigative journalists Edith Febles, Altagracia Salazar and Ricardo Nieves had denounced mayor irregularities in the process. It cost them their job on CDN TV news talk show.
On Monday, 10 September 2018, Rodríguez announced that Rosalba Ramos would replace Yeni Berenice Reynoso in the National District, and Jose Francisco Núñez would replace Laura Liranzo in the province of Santiago.
Overall, the Attorney General announced 36 new prosecutors. The names are on the PGR website:
