Managing editor at Diario Libre, Ines Aizpún was honored with the Corripio Foundation Communication Award announced on Wednesday, 26 September 2018. She is best known for her editorials in the newspaper.
Other winners of the RD$1 million cash awards are Freddie Cabral, sculpture; Jose Joaquin Puello, neurological sciences; and Jaime de Jesus Domínguez, historiography.
Also receiving award money were the Fundacion St. June, the Fundación Amor y Paz and the Escuelas Vocacionales de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policia Nacional.
The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 9 October 2018 at the National Theater at 7pm.
