The Chamber of Deputies passed a US$300 million loan signed between the Dominican government and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The loan was not contemplated in the 2018 National Budget. The purpose of the US$300 million loan is to improve productivity and increase the number of formal companies operating in the Dominican Republic.
