President Medina offers solidarity to Haiti after 5.9 earthquake

President Danilo Medina spoke with President Jovenel Moïse of Haiti on 8 October 2018 to express solidarity with the 5.9 Richter magnitude scale earthquake that affected northern Haiti on Saturday evening. Spokesman for the Presidency, Roberto Rodríguez Marchena had reported the Dominican government was awaiting Haiti to assess damages to determine assistance from the Dominican Republic. International news has reported 15 deaths and more than persons have been 300 injured.
