On the pre-campaign trail in Villa Altagracia, PRM presidential candidate hopeful Luis Abinader told farmers that if he is elected President in 2020 he would make farming profitable. This would then result in an increase in production, bringing lower prices for consumers.
He announced he would create consensus for a strategic alliance among producers, consumers, farm sector professionals, manufacturers, importers, exporters, wholesalers and retailers for a National Agropecuarian Development Plan.
