
The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) announced that they and members of the Public Prosecution Service confiscated yesterday, Tuesday 23 October 2018, 395 kilos of cocaine from a boat in the estuary of the Higuamo River in San Pedro de Macorís. The white boat is presumed to have come from Venezuela.
Pedro Núñez, the San Pedro de Macorís prosecutor, said that they were carrying out raids to find those responsible who had gotten away. Meanwhile, the drugs were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Science for testing and weighing.
