The classical ballet company is booked for three days of performances at the National Theater in Santo Domingo. Les Ballets de Monte Carlo is the official national company of the Principality of Monaco. On 21, 22 and 23 February 2018, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo will present “LAC”, based on Swan Lake ballet with Choreography by Jean-Christophe Maillot and music by Piotr Tchaïkovski. The ballet is a benefit for the Fundaciones Quiéreme Como Soy” and “Nido para Angeles.”
Monika Despradel, a dancer and long-time cultural promoter says: “For a while now, our country did not have the opportunity to enjoy a complete ballet performed by a company of this quality. In addition to the master classes that will be given to the dance professionals and students of our country and to the benefit of the foundations, it will greatly enhance the presentation of LAC, ” says Despradel, who is also the founder of the Fundación Nido de Angeles and wife to the Dominican representative to the UNESCO in Paris, France.
