The Dominican Republic declined three slots in the 2019 Doing Business ranking presented on 31 October 2018 by the World Bank. The Dominican Republic is now ranked 102nd of 190 countries. In 2018 its ranking was 99th. Starting a business in the Dominican Republic takes on average 16.5 days, compared to half a day in New Zealand.
