One of the most well-known lawyers in the Dominican Republic, Juan Manuel Pellerano Gómez passed away on Sunday, 4 November 2018. He was 91 years old. He is best known as founder of the prestigious law firm Pellerano-Herrera that opened in 1952. He had received several recognitions, including one from Chambers Global that described him as “lawyer of lawyers.” He was a highly respected professor of law and is credited with introducing the Court of Appeals to the Dominican legal system.
