City mayor hosts fair for entrepreneurs, announces contest

National District Mayor David Collado inaugurated the 6th Fair for Entrepreneurs of the Dominican Republic. The objective of the Fair is to encourage the sharing of innovative business ideas from young people and entrepreneurship. During the opening ceremony, Collado was accompanied by United States Ambassador Robin Bernstein, and many business people, including José Luis (Pepín) Corripio Estrada, Ligia Bonetti, Pedro Brache and Campo de Moya.

During the activity, held at Downtown Center, David Collado said that 50 young people would have the opportunity to exhibit their products free of charge over two days, and a jury would decide which one would be named “Entrepreneur of the Year”.

At the end of the fair the first three prizewinners, will receive RD$300,000, RD$250,000 and RD$200,000, respectively. The prizes were donated by a generous grant from the Corripio Foundation.
