US Ambassador Robin Bernstein delivered on Thursday, 16 November 2018, a speedboat for drug interception operations at sea to Defense Minister Rubén Darío Paulino Sem and vice admiral Emilio Recio Segura of the Dominican Armada. During the ceremony, she said the US has contributed US$13 million to the drug fight and organized crime. “Not only will we make contributions and donations of equipment to the Dominican armed forces, but we will also develop assistance and training programs for its members,” said Bernstein. She spoke of the commitment of the Dominican men at sea to the programs.
