A large delegation of 101 Dominican athletes living in Puerto Rico is coming for the XIV Juegos Nacionales Hermanas Mirabal organized by the Ministry of Sports. The games will be held 6 to 16 December 2018, at venues in north and central provinces. Puerto Rico will compete as the 8th Zone in the sports games and is expected to win the competition. Technical director Carlos Hernandez said the athletes will compete in wrestling, judo, weight lifting, karate, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, taekwondo, boxing, chess, track and field, and gymnastics. Nikolay Arango and Pedro Ruiz in karate are expected to win medals.
