
The Government is paying the 13th Christmas wage as of today. Taking into consideration, the Dominican government is the largest employer in the country, this means lots of extra cash will be circulating. The National Treasury announced it will be paying RD$17.08 billion in Christmas wages to employees at around 260 public entities. Administrative Minister of the Presidency Jose Ramon Peralta has said the payments began on 5 December and will continue through 12 December.
